Baku-APA. At least eight women were killed on Monday by torrential rains and
ensuing flash floods in Yemen’s western province of Al-Hodayda, APA reports
quoting Xinhua.
The bodies were found lying at the bottom of a valley late on Monday in Bura protectorate, a UNESCO World Heritage, after being swept by the floods in the western port city of Al-Hodayda, about 226 km west of the capital Sanaa.
The women were from one family, according to a security official, who also said that scores of local villagers’ houses and farms were damaged by the floods and rains that started on Sunday.
