An official report said that Yemen's crude oil revenues reached
$2.7 billion for the period January through September, 2011; showing a significant
increase from $1.9 billion for the same period in 2010. A recent report issued by Yemen Central Bank
shows the bulk of exported oil values is used for purchasing petroleum productions
through Aden refinery.
The government share of the exported crude reached 2.85 million barrels with a cost of $ 298.6 million. The report also showed a sharp decline in the local consumption of oil.
