Yemen Revolution Update Nov 9, 2011

Sana'a:Images of destruction to residential property in Sana'a Kentucky roundabout near "Change Square"
Although things are relatively calm in the capital, residents cannot help but notice the heavy military presence in the streets and the many new checkpoints that like mushrooms under the rain seem to be popping up everywhere.

Massive demonstrations are planned for tomorrow as people are waiting to see if President Saleh will sign the power transfer agreement. Not many are optimistic as they fear that it will trigger more violence, especially since Saleh seems to have his back against the wall.

Residents in Taiz reported yet another night of shelling which brought more destruction and misery. Revolutionaries are however as determined as ever to see the revolution through as they say they have nothing left to lose, not even their life since Saleh had taken it all away.
A massive demonstration was staged today in Liberty Square in spite of the danger. Protesters have said that their planning another one tomorrow in the morning, as they want to show the World that their determination is stronger than that of Ali Abdullah Saleh.

Al-Hasib and Wadi al-Qadhi are still under attack by the government forces despite being populous residential areas. Thugs and soldiers are" shooting at everything that moves" said residents.
Many families are now scrambling to leave town as they have no hope that things will get better anytime soon.
Residents in Taiz believe that the thugs who have been looting and killing freely on the town over the past few weeks were brought by Qairan (the province governor and government loyalist) from the northern territories.
People protectors are fighting Saleh's forces that are trying to advance towards downtown Taiz from Hasib area.
Note: Drones have been spotted by residents in Yafa and al-Baydah in the early hours of this morning less than 100 kilometers away from Sana'a, the capital.

Aden:Protesters are now busier talking about a separation from the north than the toppling of the regime itself.
The secessionist movement is greatly gaining popularity as people believe it will be the answer to all their problems.
Demonstrations are being planned across town as demonstrators marched holing banners decrying Saleh's methods and his crimes against humanity. Many were heard chanting for Saleh demise.

Hajjah:
Residents in this northern province of Yemen are too worried about al-houthi threat to worry about a change of regime. Although many aren't regime loyalist they would very much like to see more boots on the ground to force back al-Houthis fighters from their current positions as their hold is widening in the province.
